Quick Facts
Private: Your group only
Capacity: Up to 6 guests per vessel
Pricing: Starting rates listed below
Booking Type: Inquiry only (confirmed after review)
Meeting Point: Selected based on conditions and your plan
Why Custom Charters Are Inquiry Only
A custom charter is not a fixed tour. Pickup options, routing, and timing depend on tide, wind, visibility, boat traffic, and what you want to do. Inquiry-only keeps expectations clean and prevents “booked but not feasible” scenarios.
What You Can Build
Choose a focus, or combine a few.
Scenic Cruising And Relaxed Exploring
Slow, comfortable time on the water with flexible routing and light narration.
Wildlife And Nature Focus
We plan around likely habitat zones and timing. Wildlife is never guaranteed, but the plan is built to increase your chances.
Island Time And Sandbar Stops
When conditions allow, we can include time on a remote shoreline or sandbar for walking, photos, and exploring.
Photography-Friendly Routing
We prioritize calmer water and better angles for light, reflections, and clean backgrounds.
Working-Water Experiences
If your request overlaps with working water activity, we will tell you what is possible and what requires coordination.

These prices are shown to set expectations. Final pricing depends on your plan, timing, and logistics.

6 hours: starting at $1,049 (up to 4 guests)

Pricing Note: Rates reflect private, per-boat service and condition-based planning. You are not buying seats, you are reserving the vessel and captain time.

Departures & Meeting Points
Coastal Passages operates as a service-area business serving North Carolina’s Crystal Coast. We do not operate from a public storefront or office.
How meeting points work
Your meeting point is confirmed in your booking email.
We meet at pre-arranged public access points based on trip type, conditions, and schedule.
Scheduled Tours (book online):
Default departure is an Emerald Isle public access point.
Cedar Point departures:
Only used when explicitly offered for that time slot, or when the captain confirms a change due to conditions and notifies guests in writing (text/email) no later than the day before whenever possible.
Arrival timing
Plan to arrive 15 minutes early for parking, gear, and a short safety briefing.
Charter Guidelines
Safety And Conditions
The captain makes final calls for routing, stops, and timing based on safety and conditions.
Wildlife And Stops
Wildlife is never guaranteed. Stops are included when conditions allow. If landing is not safe or worthwhile, we adjust the plan and keep the experience strong.
Cancellation And Weather Summary
If the captain cancels due to unsafe conditions, you can choose a full refund or reschedule credit.
Guest cancellation terms are confirmed during the charter approval process.

FAQs
Are charters private?
Yes. Your charter reserves the boat for your group.
Can you pick us up at a specific place?
Sometimes, but pickup locations depend on timing and conditions. We confirm meeting points in writing after review.
Can we do dolphins and sandbar time in the same charter?
Often, yes, if conditions allow. We will recommend a plan that fits your time window.
Do you guarantee dolphins or wildlife?
No. Wildlife is never guaranteed. We plan around likely areas and timing.
What if the weather changes?
If conditions become unsafe, the captain may adjust the route or cancel. If the captain cancels, you can choose a refund or reschedule credit.
How far in advance should we request a charter?
Earlier is better, especially for weekends and sunset timing.
