Cancellation And Weather Policy
Coastal Passages operates on the water, which means every trip is subject to weather, tide, wind, visibility, and captain discretion. Safety comes first.
We monitor conditions closely and will contact you as early as possible if weather or safety concerns may affect your trip. In some cases, the final decision may be made within a few hours of departure because coastal conditions can change quickly. By booking a tour or confirming a charter, you agree to the terms below.
Weather Cancellations
If Coastal Passages cancels your trip due to unsafe weather or captain discretion, we will provide a reschedule credit for a future available date.
Refunds for weather-related cancellations are only available when the guest has purchased the optional Trip Protection Add-On at the time of booking.
Trip Protection Add-On
Guests may add Trip Protection at checkout for $50.
Trip Protection allows guests to choose between a refund or a reschedule credit if Coastal Passages cancels the trip due to unsafe weather or captain discretion.
Trip Protection must be purchased at the time of booking. It cannot be added after a weather issue, cancellation, or reschedule request has occurred.
Trip Protection does not cover no-shows, late arrivals, guest cancellations, or changes in personal plans.
Guest Cancellations
If you need to cancel your tour or charter, Coastal Passages may offer a reschedule credit only. No refunds will be issued for guest cancellations.
To cancel or request a reschedule, you must contact Coastal Passages directly by call or text at (910) 421-0013.
Named Storms
For named storms, tropical systems, or other major weather events, Coastal Passages will work with guests to reschedule when possible. No refunds will be issued unless Trip Protection was purchased and the trip is canceled by Coastal Passages.
No-Shows and Late Arrivals
No-shows are non-refundable and are not eligible for reschedule credit.
Please arrive early enough for parking, check-in, and a short safety briefing. Late arrivals may reduce your time on the water or be treated as a no-show.
Route and Activity Changes
A change in route, departure point, timing, wildlife activity, sunset visibility, sandbar access, or water conditions is not considered a cancellation. The captain may adjust the trip as needed for safety, comfort, and the best available experience.
Processing Fees
Any non-refundable processing fees charged by booking platforms or payment processors may be deducted from eligible refunds.
